2007 was my first DGRR.
The Good:
The people were absolutely awesome. Everyone was cool to talk to. The effort in organization was evident and it helped me learn and get more out of the weekend, Vs. just sitting around cars and talking. Prizes, I like to win. I don't care if it's a T-shirt or a turbo. The prizes made the dinner more fun. Meeting Phil-( sorry Phil I have to say this). To meet the guy who masterminds the whole event and talk to him was pretty cool. A bunch of us were just hanging out in the lobby late at night and talking about everything. Phil was just relaxed and easy going with good info to put out. I would have expected someone who was a bit over bearing and short with most people. What was great was all the groups from different cities all knew each other and talked, Vs. bad mouth each other.
The Bad:
Fontana catering to the frat brats Vs. people who spend thousands on their cars. Chances are, we are going to spend more than kids are. They lose.
Didn't get a chance to hang out with more people I would have liked to have.
The weekend went by way to fast. Leaving on Sunday sucked.
OHHHH!!!! Thanks man!! Next year, I'm heading out there on thursday afternoon and hang out for a day before I go nuts at the event

Come down early and hang out!
