DGRR Project FB begins 10 Months ago Karma: 0
I usually drag my feet on my own projects, but after registering today with Phil I've got a fire up my ass to get this car down there.

It runs fairly well, so I'm going to focus my attention on the body, suspension and interior.

Between now and the event I plan:
- Dings, dent and scrape repair
- Repaint silver or gunmetal (probably gunmetal) metallic
- Refinish wheels, install new tires
- new shocks all around
- new rear springs
- install a rear sway bar (Auto-x doesnt need it, but the tail of the dragon will..)
- all new belts, hoses, gaskets, etc
- T2 seats
- new clutch

That should do it. Should be able to have this done by April 1st... the paint will still be drying on the way down

Is that Route sign the official DGRR logo? Maybe I'll get some vinyl cut for the trip down, lol... DGRR or bust?

I'm trying to get two of my buddy's to come down, one w/ his rx8 and another GSL-SE.. but we'll see.

Update...

Unfortunately, I have to travel for work the first week in March until the second week in March (luckily its to Puerto Rico though) but it kills some build time on the project. I'm going to be slammed to do the body work in time.

I did get the T2 seats in, replaced the sunroof headliner (with a matching gray one), started on the gauge setup, ordered new Falken rubber, bled the brakes (needs to be bled more), and put a set of new lug nuts on (the old ones were getting nasty).

Next go around it'll be mount & balance the tires, drive it up to my garage and tear down the intake manifolds to begin replacing the vac lines and gaskets and rebuild the injectors.

Two weeks before DGRR I'll do the body work and prep for paint. It MIGHT be driven down in primer, but I hope not...

Oh - I still need to find cheap aftermarket radio,lol...
