3/27/2008 - Just 15 days til DGRR 2008!! There are several Caravans being planned (Click Here!). Also make sure your car(s) are in good working order. US129 could be quite tough on your car and especially the brakes!!

2/12/2008 - 2 months away!!! We are now breaking previous attenence record (Click here to see the list ) and record number of sponsorships. I'm also putting together a map to show where everyone is coming from. If you want to see this map, please click here ! Map will be useful when we start organizing caravans.. 2/10/2008 - FYI: Several of you had issues with not receiving confirmation email after signing up.. We recently had to update the security on this forum as someone had broken in and messed up the server.. I have now personally activated everyone's account, so you should be able to log in. 2/7/2008 - ONLY 8 days til round 2 of registration is OVER! So, SIGN UP before its too late!! Also, There are limited number of lodging available from Nantahala Village. Last I counted about 10-15 cabins and lodge rooms are left.
Also, we have several new sponsors for DGRR 2008. Our Main sponsor this year is Exedy USA! They will be donating a complete clutch and flywheel for one lucky 3rd Gen RX-7 owner! So, Don't miss this great EVENT!
1/30/2008 - Sorry for the delayed update! As you guys can see, the site has been updated and new functions have been added. I think most of you will find it user friendly and hope you will get on the site more often!

1/14/2008 - Over the weekend, I found out that Ashley Brown, first year DGRR attendee was featured in Sport Compact Car magagine. When you get a chance go to your local bookstore and check it out! Hopefully, she'll show that car off at this years event!
1/4/2008 - Happy New Year Everyone! I just wanted to quickily update you regarding DGRR 2008. Well, as of today, we have over 65 cars have signed up and over 85 people have registered. I'm Very VERY happy with the response and surpassed last years registration. My goal this year is to reach 150 attendees and we are already over half way there. Please continue to support this event and help me pass the word about DGRR 2008! Thanks again and if everything goes well this year, it will happen EVERY year!

10/24/2007 - Im still waiting for the owner of Nantahala Village to contact me.. As soon as that's locked in, I will open the registration for next years event! Dates will be April 11th-13th, 2008..
**Update** Just heard back from Nantahala and they are going to have shuttle service for those who wanting to stay at the cabin/lodge and don't want to drive up to the lodge. I need to work out couple of small issues and I will officially announce this event and start the registration.

10/15/2007 - Last weekend, I took the weekend and drove up to NC/TN area to scope out our potential site for next years DGRR. Me and Stephen drove all around and we found a place called, Nanatahala Village(www.nvnc.com). Place was super nice and people who ran the place were very helpful! Its approximately 45 min drive to the US129/Deals Gap but it was a very pleasant drive.
As of now, I'm very much leaning to call Nanatahala Village as our NEW home!!!
**UPDATE** Just in case, I checked on another location (Tally Ho Inn in Townsend). Pricewise, its cheaper but more like a motel/Inn. They do have parking for 300 cars but its GRASS parking (if it rains, its going to be a mess!). Distance wise, its about the same (35-40 mins vs 40-45 mins). Another problem is that they do NOT have big enough conference room for 300 people (also booked out for our weekend).
Next, about this website... This site is now fully functioning!! Yeah! Goto the forum and start chatting with fellow DGRR runners. Next year will surely be the best event EVER!! And pending how it turns out, we will make this event a Bi yearly event!!! And one day the biggest rotary event in USA.. Ok.. I'm getting over my head now. LOL!
9/18/2007 - New Lodging location is being considered.... I been awaiting for Fontana Village to get in contact with me for locking down dates and meals. Unfortunately, their unprofessional attitude lead me to look for another location. New location will be announced VERY soon.
8/24/2007 - Registration for DGRR 08 will announced soon... Few things will change next year. Instead of all of us meeting at the dam, next year, we'll all meet at a banquet/convention room. There we could have vendor shows, seminars, etc. Also, all the meals will take place here instead of driving 30 mins and waiting 1.5 hour for a sandwich. Hope the new idea will help save time and money for all of you.
